Unfortunately I can't help on that. I lost my patiente after several
months without sound and an overeating laptop and went back to windows
XP - I don't like it but at least I know how to solve problems with it.
I can't find the mail another user with the same model as mine send me
with the solutio
Unfortunately I don't know how to run the script. Should I copy it and
paste in the terminal? Or there is a command to download it? 'bash alsa-
info.sh' doesn't work in my terminal.

Yes, I still have this problem with Intrepid Ibex 8.10. But strangely
once the laptop did shutdown. It coincided with one attempt to solve
another problem with my external NTFS HDD that I can't mount/access.
After changing some lines in the FSTAB file the computer refused to

Ah! I just read the other bugs you referred. The hardware is different
and I didn't see the alsa factor. Another problem I also have is that
hibernation doesn't work all the time, sometimes it freezes and I have
toreset power.
