same problem. With first fresh install, all ok. After updating, the
problem appears. At Login, keyboard and mouse doesn't works. After a
while, keyboard does, but noothing with mouse. I takes a long time to
run desktop, and then the mous is active. Exactly when power manager

it seems to work fine (it releases IP's to local network pcs) but I get
this error any time I update the system.

JoanCF, the only think worked for me is:
1.- Create manually the band connection in network manager (with modem
unplugged)
2.- Install usb-modeswitch && usb-modeswitch-data
3.- Unninstall modemmanager 3.0 (lucid lynx default)
4.- Download and install javier Martin modemmanager modified

it's my first report here.
the msn accounts problem still happens. With msn/hotmail when clicking in
"open mail" pidgin (or ubuntu) opens firefox when opera (or other) is selected
as default browser.
Other IM accounts work fine. Other apps in ubuntu work fine.
I've tested in both 8.04 and 8.10
