shouldn't it be the other way around? that users should do that if they
want to enable the desktop background when they see the lock screen?

how to solve the issue, but a bug report on how the default ubuntu

This one is a privacy issue. I think it is very annoying that when I try to
unlock my screen, it will display the desktop background (wallpaper).
I'm concerned about privacy, and I think there is no need to display that until
the correct password has been entered.

Well, it seems like i am not the only one.
I have read negative reviews on ubuntu software center, and they were people
complaining about this.
if you google "gdebi wrong password" you will find more.
let's see if someone else is able to reproduce it and spot the bug.

I tried to install a .deb package, and I kept getting this error message when I
am prompt to enter my admin password:
"Incorrect password... try again"
Passsword was correct, i tried it several times, the problem is that
there is another service like Ubuntu Software Center
