I fixed this upstream a while back. The code fix will go out with Miro
3.1.
The revision is here:

Shouldn't be too hard for someone to create a patch against Miro 3.0
from that.
Hope that helps!

This is fixed in Miro 3.0.2. We switched from XULRunner to webkit for
the embedded browser.

This doesn't have anything to do with ~/.miro. I'm guessing the user is
missing dependencies that aren't listed in the package or there's a
mismatch somewhere between XULRunner and gtkmozembed.
Regardless, we switched from XULRunner to webkit for Miro 3.0.2, so this
issue will go away.

I added the upstream bug (13296). We were seeing this problem only with
Miro on Linux platforms with XULRunner 1.9.2--we never saw it with
1.9.1, so this particular bug report is puzzling.
I'm working on a Miro 3.0.2 release that includes the fix for 13296.
We're testing it out now and hopefully

I'm not sure why the RotatingFileHandler doesn't just create a new log

For Miro 3.1 we're ditching our home-made volume slider and replacing it
with the GtkVolumeButton. That'll fix this issue. It's being tracked

I don't understand what this bug report is about. It seems there are
two issues, but neither are sufficiently explained, so there's nothing I
can do with them.
For the first issue, where are you searching for a particular feed? Is

This is probably not a bug in Miro, but rather a bug in xine. The stack
suggests as much.
Further, we (upstream) have dropped support for the xine renderer in
Miro 3.0, so we no longer support it.
