this problem occurs at random for me, despite the "usefree" mod... i'm curious tho, how you can determine the correct usb port to try with "gnome-mount -vtd /dev/sdh2"? if the usb device won't mount -- FAT: Unrecognized mount option "usefree" or missing value https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/151
