I'm using 10.04 and this is still present. Why use the MeMenu and the
Empathy icon to change status? It takes more space on the panel and
makes MeMenu useless.

It seems like Gstreamer is broken in Karmic. I was trying to watch some
FLV and AVI videos and It gave me an Internal Data Error. With MP4
videos I get "GStreamer encountered a general stream error." Even with
VLC, it can't decode h.264 videos. They all work great with

This is actually new. In Jaunty suspend worked like a charm but in
Karmic it fails the to recover 90% of the time. It fails after the
"Testing Bios R4... something something" appears. In Jaunty it recovered

Does Karmic boot faster than Jaunty in your laptops? In mine (5050) is
very slow. Jaunty flies compared with Karmic. I hope they fix this
thing.

Stangely I connected my Mp3 player (Sony NWZ series) when it mounted,
the card mounted as well. The card was inserted all this time.

I think something has gone wrong because none of those commands do
something in my system, even after restarting it. "sudo lspci -vvnn >
lspci-vvnn.log" asks for my password, after I enter it nothing happens.
Maybe I'm missing a package or something.

Hi, I have an Acer Aspire 5050-5410 with Intrepid Ibex. The problem is
that whenever I boot it it throws me to the busybox prompt everyone
hates. It gives me all kinds of errors or warnings or whatever they are.
