Attached, see the FLAC file, normalised with foobar2000 under Wine. The
metaflac command shows that gain is reduced, but it sounds much louder
than the MP3 file (next attachment).

Ubuntu 10.10 with all updates. Kodak Easyshare C813. Same problem.
I can access the camera memory on my Windowx XP running in VirtualBox
(USB-enabled version). So, I get access via the guest system, but I
can't access it on my host system. (?)
Please fix this annoying bug... eventually.

Ubuntu 9.04, PDFEdit 0.4.1
Scanned two A4 pages in GIMP 2.6.6 via XSane (identical pixel size), changed
the colour mode to black&white (1 bit) and printed them in GIMP as two PDF
files (via Ubuntu standard PDF printer).
Opened the first PDF file in PDFEdit, appended the only page of the second P
Same problem for me - and only in OpenOffice. I always had this problem
since I began using Ubuntu (I think 8.04)...now it's still there in 9.04
