Not sure what caused this. I only just noticed Apport flashing a
problem.
I came out of suspend mode and about 10 minutes later I noticed Apport
reporting a problem.

Ok. I've reinstalled IBus and it seems to be working fine now.
I don't know what fixed the issue though. I installed and removed IBus
and scim both at least twice and in various orders and with reboots
most times.
I'm glad this is fixed though! I was unable to do work of any kind :)
