Considering Pavel Rojtberg managed to fix this by recompiling control- center, doesn't this indicate that at least some bug may lie in the control-center package? I'm having the same problem, and disabling the synaptics driver also fixed it. I've just now update/dist-upgraded and still no improvement. $ gnome-settings-daemon [...] The error was 'BadDevice, invalid or uninitialized input device'. (Details: serial 1395 error_code 171 request_code 151 minor_
