Dermitrius, I've taken a closer look at the logs from the initrd, and I get the
same thing (errno=-19 from lib ata); our issue appears to be addressed in
#106063.

Feisty install here... I'm experiencing what I think is a similar problem.
After upgrading to 2.6.20-14-generic pkgs 2.6.20-14.23 from a previous
2.6.20-14 package (I don't know what the previous version was, if someone can
let me know how to get it, I can)
