I've the same problem, but on a DL360 G6 with 8.04 and 10.04beta.
But, if i install 9.10 and upgrade to 10.04, all works fine.

Hi,
I have a suggest. Follow these steps:
1) install feisty
2) upgrade feisty installation
3) verify all is ok (also graphical effects like cube and exposè)
4) upgrade distribution to gutsy with System->Administration->Updates Manager
These 4 steps work for me in 3 configuration: 2 with ATI graph
