Setting up memtest86+ hangs because
how do we permanently fix this? the pkill -f 'frontend
/var/lib/dpkg/info/memtest86\+.postinst' command recovers from the hang,
but memtest86+ is still not properly installed, and hangs everytime
'dpkg --configure' is called, or when kernel is updated, etc.

since i mostly use apt-get/synaptic, i hadn't noticed, but almost every
time i use the search box in software center, i get a popup that it has
crashed and asks if i want to send a bug report. since i've already
sent in this bug report, i click cancel but software center remains open
and functiona

With nautilus open and the view set to 'places', when i right click on a
removable device to select 'eject', or simply click the eject button, i
am not prompted to empty the trash. However, if i right-click on the
volume icon that is on my Desktop and select 'eject', i AM pro
initscripts is already the latest version 2.87dsf-4ubuntu17.4 from
lucid-updates, there is no update in lucid-proposed.
