Just to confirm, from the time I've disabled the extension yesterday
'till now, about 80GB of log has been generated:

I've disabled the extension today, and there are no listed extensions
running:
gsettings get org.gnome.shell enabled-extensions
@as []
But I'm still seeing tons of messages in syslog, about 2GB on the last 4
hours:

syslog fills with messages: Object
I'm running Ubuntu 17.10 with XOrg (Wayland was impossibly laggy).
Every few seconds the window manager will stop updating. Just the mouse
keeps on moving, but videos playing will continue.
If I wait a half a minute, it will resume. If I switch to ctrl+alt+f1
and log again, it resumes too.

All the raw (.ORF) pictures from my camera are giving me this same
error. They all show up on import with a date of 1/1/0001 even though
the jpegs are OK.
The attached .ORF is an example of a picture with this problem.

On my Sony Vaio VGN-FZ140E I've got the same problem. No sound on the
headphones and the speaker doesn't turn off when I plug in the phone.
The modifications suggested didn't work... I still got the sound out of
the speakers and now sound on the phones.
