Sorry for my pleading... in a final attempt, I restarted my system
again. Restarting the services seems not to be enough. And now it works.
BUT, only if I do a printout from an application. If I use the "Print
Test Page" button, in the printer configuration, nothing happens. I had

I am experiencing the same problem with my Toshiba 5GB PCMCIA hard drive
(MK5002MPL). The PCMCIA slot works fine with other cards, and the hard
drive worked fine under Windows.

Is this problem solved meanwhile? Because I have exactly the same
problem when running Abiword under Xubuntu 7.04 with Japanese language
support installed, where default language is set to Japanese.
