basically i3 with some xfce applets - and since upgrading to 14.04 I had
trouble with i3 exiting normally when I close the lid (i.e. my Window
manager dying). It seems closing the lid does not just close the
backlight, but shuts down

and I can confirm that all keys are now seen from userspace. Fn+F3
toggles the touchpad and is the only functionality that "just works".
For Fn+F7, I see the same output as Shang Wu.

I have the same problem too. Background draws normally but right-click

just faced the same crash at a new gutsy tribe 2 installation while i was
updating the system.
gutsy gibbon tribe 2 i386 on compaq armada E500 laptop.

i confirm yostral.
with today's updates network manager doesnt crash anymore but i cant connect to
wireless network.

i attach a screenshot so it can be more clear where the problem is..
totem is playing second song at playlist and time is 0:00/0:00 and progress bar
at end.
(the language is greek but i dont think thats the problem , although i have to
mention it)

when totems plays multiple sound files (mp3/ogg/asx) , progress bar and song
total and remaining time works only for the first song. when first song ends
and second song starts then progress bar stucks at end (100%) and song total
and remaining time is 0:00/0:00
this happen
i am running gutsy on a Lenovo 3000 N100.
wireless worked perfect under feisty and i upgraded to gutsy via wireless.
after first reboot wireless worked fine.. the problem appeared after second
reboot.
network manager appears on taskbar and it shows all two wireless networks a
protected one and a
nice roberto!
after gutsy upgrade sound works fine out of box..
hope its permanent fix.

well firefox 1.5 has been extended to the middle of May but still no backport
for firefox 2.0 at dapper..
i know its difficult to do so but its crucial for most people and firefox is a
programme most people use..
(i am not sure if its the proper way to highlight it...)

ok with the backport.. they update manager was a little stubborn to do the
update so i have to run in terminal dist-upgrade..
but now everything is fine..

x-chat crashes and then i couldnt open new windows or programms and i couldnt
log out or reboot.
running 6.10 x86.
