I have the same problem. I have a clean ubuntu 9.04 installation. I only
had compiled alsa sources using all models, but I couldn't hear
sometihing.

I have LG LM50 laptop. I have recently upgrade to ubuntu 9.04 . And the
Texas SD Reader don't work. I attach the output of lspci -xxx. I have
using ubuntu from 6.04 , and never the reader has work for ubuntu. I
