[Bug 486960] Re: Brasero disk burner won't get past "Preparing to write."

2010-01-09 Thread series8217
I also have this problem in 9.10 with Brasero 2.28.2. I inserted a blank CD-R into my drive, right-clicked on an ubuntu iso image, and clicked "write to disc". The "Brasero - Burning CD" dialog then appears, and hangs at "Preparing to write" with the progress bar bouncing back and forth. -- Bras

I hope a fix for this is coming soon. I bought an Atheros-based card for my new system specifically because I heard reports that it was working well with Ubuntu... but I get a hard lock whenever ath5k is enabled, either as soon as I try connecting to my AP, or randomly within a couple hours afte

Sure enough, the problem does not exist in 2.6.24-19 with either my laptop or desktop computer. So it was introduced in -20 or -21. Unfortunately I don't have -20 to test with. -- Boot hangs at Starting bluetooth (kernel 2.6.27-1 and -2) if device connected https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/262927

er, my previous message supposed to read "can't test with earlier versions"... but that may be incorrect anyway, becuase my desktop is running Ubuntu 8.04 with 2.6.24-19 and it has the driver and works (see below).. On my laptop I tried to use the workaround that apparently works with the pvrusb2
