OK, i worked out the reason for that. It seems to be an IPv6 problem.
To install addons you have to:
1. add the following lines to /etc/sysctl.conf
net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6 = 1
net.ipv6.conf.default.disable_ipv6 = 1
net.ipv6.conf.lo.disable_ipv6 = 1
2. execute: sysctl -p
3. res
No, direct download is not possible too. The error is something like "the
source file cannot be read".
FYI: I tried to change the network connection mode in firefox from "use system
settings" to direct etc. --> no success.

Hi, no success with the solutions of the Mozilla support site. My cache was set
to 50 MB. I increased, decreased and purged the cache ---> no success.
Furthermore it is not only a problem with ONE single addon. All addons are
affected --> no server error or something in that way. It is local prob

Hint: The "standard" problem resolution, delete extension.rdf + extension.cache
in profile, does NOT work.
