Can't connect Nikon D40X digital camera via MTP/PTP. At least digiKam
won't find it when MTP/PTP setting chosen in camera. Normal USB (MSC
selected) works ok, but even then I can't find possibility to properly
unmount volume anywhere (no icon in desktop).

Ok, it seems that pretty much everything else but PulseAudio is now
running ok. I still have some XRUN issues while using Rosegarden and
SoundFonts but I guess that doesn't belong here.

Alsa-info.txt attached. Sound output now works also through
alsa/ice1712. May be due to playing with default card settings or due to
some update - most likely both. At least SPDIF input still dumb (I try
to figure that out), and PulseAudio doesn't work at all.

Found the setup for ALC883 now, and I guess I'll find that for TerraTec
too. PulseAudio still in universal "Connection failed: Connection
refused" state.

Made new installation today, now with Ubuntu Studio 8.04 beta. Only
thing left from previous installation was the home directory. RE-
INSTALLATION MADE ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE!!! Still no sound in any
applications. Only available sound is the test sound for "ICE1712 multi"
in "system > preferences
Is the fresh install really the solution? Could somebody confirm?
