Same behavior for me. Tried removing profile. Now it crashes as soon as the first-run wizard is completed. The next time it crashes on startup. I tried running it under gdb but 'mozilla-thunderbird' is a wrapper script, so gdb won't run it. I have no idea how to produce a backtrace. (Even though I
