OMG please fix this! I just installed gutsy, interpreted the "new
partition sizse" slider like everybody else, got the size wrong, and
frustrated after logging in to my new install. I came here to report
this bug and found it's been reported a long time ago. It's a simple
wording change!

Same behavior for me. Tried removing profile. Now it crashes as soon as
the first-run wizard is completed. The next time it crashes on startup.
I tried running it under gdb but 'mozilla-thunderbird' is a wrapper
script, so gdb won't run it. I have no idea how to produce a backtrace.

I faced a similar issue. The screen was blank even after switching to
console and back.
The command
xset dpms force on
forces the screen to turn on.
So a workaround would be to create a keyboard shortcut for that command
that you can invoke after turning the lid on.

hey, can I delete that? I have no idea what's going on, but apport
included sensitive URLs in the bugreport. The file I was opening had
NOTHING to do with what it reported and that URL has no reason to be
there. Damn.

After a few days on my new Feisty install, evince completely stopped

Gah. I think I know what RAM is. I know that's not the problem here.
I've been using linux since circa 1999 (not that that matters, just
saying I'm sure I have memory to spare).

to save their state and this appears to cause the

This is a bug in the installer.
The way I typically install is to mount the iso, copy the contents to a
partition (say /mnt/installer) and edit grub to boot
/mnt/installer/vmlinuz or whatever. Apart from the following bug, this
works flawlessly and is faster than messing with
