I have had an X200 since they first came out (like 2 years ago i think)
and every linux distro i have tried have had thee issues. ubuntu, arch,
fedora, pclinuxos, ...
It uses about 10 watts completely idle (no mouse movement) and maybe 15
watts when in use (it jumps around a lot). in the last 2 ho
i am not sure, i submitted this bug back in march of 2007. i am on a
different machine now with a different distro. considering that the buz
here has died down i suppose the issue has been fixed.

how do you detect things like this? i have been using linux for about 2
years now but this is still the only ubuntu bug i have filed and i dont
really know a lot about bug tracking.
is there a way we can trace where in the process of keyboard input the
error is occuring?
i hope this is abnormally slow for the rate at which where i post a bug
and it gets confirmed. i havent been able to test it with gusty yet
since my university classes are eating up my time. end of next week i
will let you know what happens for me.

i installed kubuntu feisty herd 5 and had this error and am uptodate with

by the way when i first posted this problem i did find that if you lower
the repeat rate of the keyboard in your settings app when the repeat
problem occurs it wont be as bad. hence why mine only seem to repeat
3-4 times.
by the way i am using an intel p4 system. my boot time may be slightly
slo
oh i just call those tty1, tty2 or runlevel 1, runlevel 2.
anyway i dont get the error there either so i guess that concludes that
it is an x error. our input device sections are the same, perhaps
soemone else who reads this who doesnt expirirnce this problem could
post their section for comparis
mine doesnt happen as often as yours apparently does, i get it once
maybe every 5 min. it does happen for me in the console (konsole to be
exact) too by the way but that is when i use the console with xorg still
running. have not tried booting in recovery mode to see if the issue
exists there eit
