I would like to confirm having this bug after upgrade to 14.04 from 13.10, and
fixing it by removal of
"/etc/pm/config.d/config" which contained
SUSPEND_MODULES="rt61pci"
Apparently, what was helping to fight this problem in 13.10 is making it
reappear in 14.04, which is ironic.

regardless of settings in /etc/default/console-setup.
