When I commented all the ->owner lines in function acer_proc_init the
module compiles and even works :-) Just have to restart the machine
after installation of this module.

I applied all the patches from this bug report and from the previous one and I
get a new problem.

I've checked the latest kernel 2.6.38-rc5 without any patches. And pwc
seems to work even if I unplug and plug the camera again. However it
doesn't unload after disconnecting the camera.

I still have problems with pwc driver and QuickCam Pro 4000. I'm using the
latest 10.10 with all updates with 2.6.35-24-generic #42-Ubuntu SMP Thu Dec 2

Removing the module and inserting the camera again works but it's not very
convenient.
