I fiddled around and got it to work. In Compizconfig settings manager I
saw two new buttons, move window and resize window. I checked the boxes
near them and the "bug" seems to be fixed !

I have a wireless network at home with SSID hidden, WPA2-PSK, AES, key
interval 3600 and cannot connect.
However, I can connect to my neighbour'ss wireless network which I help
set up -> SSID visible, WPA2-PSK, AES,
As I understand, I install the kernel and reboot the system, selecting
the correct kernel from grub to boot with.
I have tried

I see the thread starter hasn't given sufficient information.
I am facing the same issue. When I click shutdown like this

Successfully installed Ubuntu 9.04 !
Now let me elaborate. The first problem I was facing is ubiquity
crashing while copying files during install. It told me that my cd or
hard disk was probably bad. I knew my cd was ok as I had verified my
data, as for my drive it's a brand new sony, only two day
Had same problems as above. Had old /home mounted on the FS tree, apparently
Jaunty does not like that :)
Am trying formatting /home and installing.
