On every startup of Kubuntu, when you login to KDE the Driver Manager loads. It
seems to be triggered by the fact I have hardware that can use propietary
drivers. But I already have all the propietary drivers installed. So each time
it starts it shows in my system tray and
It is not "fix" per se. But I have found a workaround, if you need to
use software-center rather than just using terminal tools like dpkg and
apt, which is what I do. Also, I use gdebi for GUI based installing of
packages I download with my browser, as it is much more slim than the
Ubuntu Software
Ok so is there some sort of fix for that? I'm not using pulseaudio or
alsa...

I really don't think this has anything to do with PulseAudio or ALSA. I
had this problem from a fresh install, and I still have it after
removing PulseAudio AND ALSA and switching over too OSSv4.

Any update on this? Having to recompile my kernel for every update is
