I don't know where to start anymore...
I had 8.10, then 9.04 and sound worked (mind you ... a few problems, ran OSS
time to time...).
Now it is a real disaster. No sound whatsoever and my Pulse audio seems (??) to
be properly configured. Device is recognized at boot, drivers seems (???)

Public bug reported:
The pc was up and running, I pluged in an xtra screen (1024X768) and clicked on
the screen icon to enable it. Bang! black screen and no way to reboot. So, good
'ole power off. And then upon reboot this hibernate issue, which is not
involved in this.

I strongly disagree on the statement that 9.04 fixes it.
I'm right now in another forum trying to sort out an issue that comes up if you
install 9.04 from scratch. (if you upgrade 8.10 to 9.04 you only notice part of
the problem :
