Binary package hint: xkeyboard-config
Latin "V" transliterates pretty good into cyrillic "VE", and even there
is no proper transliteration for latin "W", but it looks pretty much
like cyrillic "ZHE". Have no idea why in the current russian phonetic
layout "W" is "VE" and "V"

Hi John,
What I meant was that some independent vendor could start distribute
computers with preinstalled Ubuntu only. And people would buy it not
because of the price, but because of the absence of annoying licensing
control and lots of other good things like performance, security, etc.
When I wa
Ubuntu could contract some OEM producer and start selling own computers.
That would a good patch to the issue.

Have similar problem with compiz, nvidia-glx and all latest updates on
Dell Inspiron laptop:
Moving mouse over the maximize/minimize/close icons breaks/restores all
title bar.
Changing theme Window Border to another style (clearlooks for instance)
resolves problem for some of the applications win
