graphics card and proprietary drivers some dialogs have a semi-
transparent background making it hard to read any text in those.

kscreen-doctor -o also doesn't list 3840x2160@60 mode like it should.
Setting scale with kscreen-doctor also doesn't work, the command responds it
set the scale, but nothing happens and kscreen-doctor -o shows scale 1.

Well, it did not work. I heard that 6.8.9 should work, but there are no
.deb files in the repository for amd64, so I'm not sure how do I install

Same problem on Ubuntu Server (21.10). Got an infinite loop after installation
completed and updates started installing.
As workaround I simply switched to tt2 (Ctrl+Alt+F2) and forced to reboot:

For me, the issue was fixed on by rebuild from the source (so the source is
correct), probably original build process affects HAVE_WORKING_FORK

I have in the /etc/init.d/trousers this:
[ ! -e /dev/tpm* ]
And it still gets errors like:
/etc/init.d/trousers: 32: [: /dev/tpm0: unexpected operator
Because there are two such files in /dev:

So, I've found this issue through a question on
https://askubuntu.com/questions/1214208/input-language-switching-in-
password-fields . It looks like I'm facing this bug and it makes GNOME
basicly unusable for me.
The behaviour I've encountered is as follows:
* I have 2 input languages set: Korean
The kernel 5.0.0-37 most likely solved the problem. Comp did not freeze.
If something changes, I will write.
