The instructions included in the link not only show you how to ensure
you have the latest driver. It also has xorg.conf changes/additions.
In my case, the latter is what made the difference since i already had
the latest driver installed.

I was able to get rid off ALL my remaining little glitches by following
the instructions found here: http://compiz.org/NVidia.
I suggest all of you with nvidia cards read this carefully.

Thanks to ville palo.
That fixed it for me.
This is my modified /etc/x11/xorg.conf section:
Section "Device"
Identifier "nVidia Corporation C51 [Geforce 6150 Go]"
Boardname "nv"
Busid "PCI:0:5:0"
Driver "nvidia"
Option "AllowG
I kept researching this and found a solution, First thing I discovered
is that under system/preferences/appearance if you press the "customize"
button on the "theme" tab, you get a new screen that lets you customize
controls, color, window borders, icons and pointers. I pressed pointers
and got t

Same here. Using Nvidia card, 7.10 RC. Only happens when I select
"normal" or "extra" visual effects. gtk-window-decortror process is
running.
