I can confirm this bug with emacs-snapshot-gtk on Dapper. Emacs just
won't save any settings whatsoever.

Hey,
since the problem comes from yaboot, couldn't it be possible to include
the new package as an update in Dapper? Because the only option left for
someone who wants a Linux/PPC-XFS install is using a Debian Etch or
Ubuntu Edgy beta-installer, and I think it's a shame.
