i would attach it but i cant get to it
every time i start kubuntu all i get is a black screen
safe mode works until i try to load kde
and i cant upload anything to here without any gui
but tnx anyway for wanting to help its guys like you that made me wanted
to swithc to linux in the first place
well this is a major problem because after it happens it keeps happening
every time i start kubuntu and prevents me from using it at all
i tried your solution cactus but it doesn't work

serra you makes a good point that it is filled with lawyer only lenguge
and that it is needlessly complicated but that doesn't makes him not
free it just makes him needlessly complicated(why cant lawyers speak

i install kubuntu gutsy (from the cd not an update) and all works good
for a couple of startups and then all of the sudden i when i start
kubuntu it gets pass the boot splash screen and the screen goes black
(its still on but it is only black).
i reinstalled kubuntu (after fo
algorithms aren't software there are no such thing as an open source algorithm
algorithm is a math formla - (like a+b=c) you cant copyright it so its ok to
use everywhere so whats the problem?

i read the license and as far i can see (correct me if im wrong) what it
says that you can download and use it for free and that you can
distribute it provided you give them credit (which is understandable)
and that you can modify it as long as you dont use there name or logo
(still understandable)
i don't have and intel graphic card and still suffer from this problem
so it cant be the reason

i hope this will be fixed in the next release
the main site says that kubuntu is designed for everyone as a replacement os
for your desktop pc
but a new guy or one that doesn't know much about computers not being able to
shut down the computer (which im sure you'll all agree is a must)
