Upgrade of Boinc gave error message saying something on failing script. In
synaptic however package versions are reported as 6.10.17+dfsg-2ubuntu2 for

Changing to virtual terminal manually works just fine. Should have been
mentioned when reporting this. System test still behaves the same way.
Nvidia graphics card, not using proprietary drive any more, which I was doing

Got this problem today after applying last updates. Get a traceback
