I don't have the machine anymore, so I can't perform the debug, however
I did try the Edger PPA, and forced the machine to use the evdev, and
had the same behaviour. EVTouch worked on the device.

The evdev and synaptics (default) drivers treat the device like a laptop

Driver evtouch works (requires calibration tuning, xinput_calibrator
values don't work.) No multitouch capabilites.

Here's the log file you requested. The xorg.conf file is the default,
without even any changes made for the evtouch touchscreen device which I
am leaving to work on after the intel problems are sorted out.

I've tried the intel driver, and the intel-gfx-testing driver on the
r2h, and both die with the "Cannot find PLL settings" error.
VESA is the only driver that I can get to work.
I tried the jaunty Alpha-2 and Alpha-3 on the R2H, but both have
problems with USB Keyboards during install. The last
same problem with Asus R2H, which has no PS2 ports on it. I have tried
with Dell USB Keyboard and logitech diNovo wireless USB keyboard
I wonder if with the new netbooks and MIDs, it might be wise to have a
virtual keyboard option available for install?

Another forum suggest trying Jaunty-aplha 3, however there is a usb
keyboard recognition problem there that prevents install
