The patch fixed the problem with the menus being too small for me. I
also have the brief flicker with the menu popping up maximized at first,

- start HPLIP GUI
- click on scan: xsane starts
- click on scan: all-in-one starts scanning, but then xsane disappears.

when I copy it to the NAS and redirect the profile, Thunderbird 3.0

better for them to run Ubuntu rather than Windows, and have the ability
to do so. LiveCDs, OpenOffice, and Mozilla have been very helpful in
that regard. Microsoft has also helped out nicely by introducing the

I installed Gutsy RC on my Dell Latitude D610. It works, however during
the boot process, the screen goes blank, no splash screen. I removed the
splash option in Grub, now I can see the text messages during boot. Once
booting is over, I get the login screen, and after logging
I had the exact same problem on my Dell Latitude D610. I think it worked
when I let it import an account even though I didn't want to, but I can
always delete that account later.
