is certainly confusing to a new user. Any plans to fix it?

I have this bug too, on Jaunty upgraded from Intrepid. I am seriously
thinking never to upgrade again... You never know what strange bug might
hit you due to misconfiguration / old config files etc. Could someone
please be kind and inform us whether there is any work being done for
this bug?

I tried Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala Alpha 3 (kernel 2.6.31) from a USB
startup disk and I was able to suspend successfully (and very quickly, I
might add!). Can anyone else try and report here?

Binary package hint: empathy
When a gtalk contact is typing to me in a chat, empathy doesn't notify me of
that. When an MSN contact is typing, I can see the green icon in front of the
contact name turn into a "user is typing" icon, so I guess it's a bug specific

I tested Karmic Alpha 2 (kernel 2.6.30-8) via liveCD (actually it was a
USB stick :) ). The driver reports stronger signal, it went from 15% in
Jaunty to 65% in Karmic, although I 'm not really sure whether this
really means anything or they just changed the method of measurement.

For me it's working perfectly since kernel 2.6.27-13. Everyone has
different experience, but we must not forget that we are dealing with
wireless networks here, unreliable and unpredictable by nature. A lot of
things can influence the performance of the wireless device, distance

I also have this "popping sound at boot" issue, on Ubuntu 9.04 (upgraded
from Intrepid). I currently have two kernels on my system, 2.6.28-11 and
2.6.27-13. I've noticed it only occurs under 2.6.28-11 (or at least it
is not audible under the older kernel). Oh, and it is actually *two*

I noticed that the delay happens only when I come back from a
shutdown. When I come back from a restart, the drum sound plays just on
time. Maybe this can help.

I also have this (minor) problem. It appeared when I made a clean
install of Intrepid six months ago, and it persists now that I've
upgraded to Jaunty. The drum sound comes a few seconds delayed.

I must say my problems seem fixed. I no longer deal with connection

Sounds good :)
Is this kernel going to reach Intrepid?

something to do with bittorrent, but recently I tried other programs
