I also found a trick how to make it work again, you close the lit of my
XPS15 laptop and open is again. Then it works again.
(Maybe helps some people who really need this to work ASAP for
development)
Maybe it has something to do with the Gnome Session? As the touchscreen
works in the login scree
Im not so deep into the technical part but:
Touchscreen does work in the login screen perfectly. After you log in the
touchscreen works for few seconds and after that stops working.
I use the touchscreen for application development testing. So hope this
get solved. Anyone a quick fix for this?

Is there any update on this, I use a MSI mouse and MSI keyboard. The issue is
most notable on my mouse, but I have duplicate key press events on my keyboard
as well.
I'm sure allowing the debounce delay to be configurable will be a quick win
here as JohnWashington suggested.

I use solution to prevent this in my application: I use Qt5 Qt System
Information module (tiers modules). That's work by event and prevent
that's. But to be compatible with Qt4, I suggest thread usage with
queued connexion.

I can fully reproduce it with any window (Unity 5.14.0, Compiz 0.9.7.8 -
default settings) following these steps:
1) Minimize any window
2) Super+W (to show Scale)
3) Super+W (to hide it)
4) Click on the application icon in Launcher or browse to it using Alt+Tab /
Alt+|
Notes:
- Minimizing the
Irreversible screen blank after inactivity even with current FOSS driver
installed. Another workaround seems to be using nomodeset. No idea what
the net difference is between that and consoleblank=0.
