I was getting this error too for some reason. Using a Targus USB
Bluetooth Adaptor and Bose QuietComfort 35 on Ubuntu 14.04.
I rebooted and did the following steps from the command line (as root):
# hcitool dev

This "bug" just had me locked out of my workstation for more than 30
minutes. I couldn't get into recovery mode and I couldn't get to a
terminal (F1-F6). In the end I mashed ESC, got a root prompt before X
started, and managed to type
rm /etc/X11/xorg.conf
quickly enough that when X leapt in it h

I have the exact same problem. My monitor is a HP 2335 running at
1920x1200. I also have problems running at 800x600, though not the same
type of distortion.

At the suggestion of someone in #f-spot I ran jpeginfo on one of the
images and it was bung. So the biggest issue is how F-Spot handles these
images when compared against other image managers e.g., gThumb. Being
prompted about each image is annoying as heck.

missing header, and F-Spot wants me to click cancel or skip on each one.
I do not get these errors with other image managers like gThumb.

Just my 2 cents; I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 and I've removed F-Spot and
installed gThumb. It's much faster and usable.

I am getting the exact same error on startup but I'm just most of my
toolbar and menu icons (mostly the folder icon I think). Happens just by
opening and closing Firefox.
