I also had this issue with Feisty, Beryl and ATI Radeon OSS driver. A
switch to Compiz-Fusion solved this and many other issues.

Same here. The package seems to be missing configuration for the 2.6.x
kernel. Or it might be that I have finaly found my retarded brother.

I'm experiencing something similar with my 2G iPod Nano. On plug in it
proceeds to mount the storage on /media/IPOD_LABEL , but also tries to
get the embedded (encripted) OS volume mounted onto the same exact spot.
That produces two icons on my Xfce 4.4 desktop (one 'IPOD_LABEL' and one
'Apple iPod
Terrific actually, shame we can not have a totally separate "printers" package,
like Mac OS X.
But an option to remove unneeded (undesirable) software is a must, and should
come first.
Why do they not use standard interfaces, all of them 'unnecessary
drivers releasing' bunch? Grr..
