like to compile vanilla kernel, can enable ureadahead tracing?
Thanks

Same here! Frustrating. This bug goes and comes back regularly at each
update of nvidia or unity. Also shadow below panel goes and comes back
with a click

A workaround I just found:
go to /usr/share/thumbnailers
edit totem-video.thumbnailer
instead of using totem-video-thumbnailer use ffmpegthumbnailer -i %u -o %o
after having installed it
then cancel the folder ~/.thumbnails/
Finally logout and login

Search with another browser like gnome-commander the broken links and restore
them or delete them. Afterwards nautilus won't crash any more

I found the solution by modifying /usr/share/themes/Dust
Sand/gtk-2.0/gtkrc
Here is the modification inside
# RSC: Fix for CPU frequency applet
style "applet-text" = "panel"
{
# fg[NORMAL] = @bg_color was the wrong piece
fg[NORMAL] = @text_color # the correct color

I found a solution to uninstall ttf-mathematica:
- create the folder /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-mathml
- create inside the 16 fonts: math1b__.ttf math2b__.ttf math3b__.ttf
math4b__.ttf math1mb__.ttf math2mb__.ttf math3mb__.ttf math4mb__.ttf
math1m__.ttf math2m__.ttf math3m__.ttf math4m__.ttf
