I made a new install without upgrading drivers and I don't have the
issue... That worked for me

I have the same issue, blank screen, resizing the window seems to
refresh and works.
I'm using driver 270.41.06 with Quadro NVS 285.
When using GDM without effects, works fine.
I upgraded manually from 173 and still the same issue.
