Running Intrepid with an Intel 965. Oddly enough, rrootage rarely seg
faults on start. It does, however, crash after some random amount of
time. I can make it through multiple stages with no problems, or have it
seg fault half way into the first one.

What do you mean spawns a new process? Do you mean it just says
something like [1] 5? Run it as "firefox", not "firefox &". Not
while firefox is already running (if it is, 'killall firefox')

Well, that's... bizarre. Have you tried running firefox in a terminal
(Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal), and seeing what error
messages come up?

graphical, 3D output. It focuses on storytelling, not computation, as a
way to get students interested. It has been shown to significantly
increase the likelihood of new programming students to stick with it,

n.b., I switched back to carrier (Bitlbee problems), and it doesn't have
this problem, so Pidgin is probably fine too.

Specifically, Xchat is bugging me with this, but I've noticed similar
behavior in Tilda, I think Pidgin/Carrier, and some other programs as
well. When you click the icon, if the window is shown it is hidden,
otherwise it's brought to the front of the screen. However, this lead
