If I recall the author suggested that someone take over or fork the free
project. The open source is available. Can some kind soul be a hero for
us all and take over the project? :)

The developer has discontinued support for the project.
It is open-source, so someone could fork it.

I fixed mine by editing /etc/fstab -- it had some permanent entry for
the usb stick. I removed that (sudo gedit /etc/fstab) and that fixed it.

Hi,
This is happening with the 32 bit version as well.
When plugging in Sansa Clip to Asus EEE PC with Ubutu 8.04, it will not
recognize the Clip.
However, typing the following fixes that (temporarily) (following
Nothingman's suggestion):
sudo modprobe -r ehci_hcd
The Clips charge light starts
Oops, clicked submit too fast.

This seems to happen wlth any icons in the notification area. I'm using
opera, notecase, and skype. It's as if though the icons start to overlap
over time. Clicking on an icon, forcing the notifcation area to refresh.
