Failed to install 2.6.38=> errors in vboxhost (3.2.10) and fglrx (8.791)
so still on 2.6.35-25-generic (=main line 2.6.35.10)

I did a fresh install (even a new user ...as I thought it had something
to do with a user setting).
Amarok is installed by default. Also installed VLC via "sudo apt-get
install vlc" ...no sound in VLC.
Searched forums somewhat more... found a partial solution removed "vlc-

I removed pulseaudio (sudo aptitude remove pulseaudio & sudo aptitude
purge pulseaudio).
Still no sound in vlc and other *non* kde applications. Also the startup
sound is also missing.

Thx for the follow up. Somehow I solved it ...(I think I burned a new CD
with official released KUbuntu and not a beta one.
As I do not have more information you can close it.

I have the same issue. Logitech Dinovo also stopped working with 10.4. But also
pairing fails.

Hi I tried to install KUbuntu 10.4 over a current KUbuntu 9.10 install.
My current drive has a separate boot folder (/); a swap folder and a
home folder.
Telling the installer to perform a format on the current boot folder
crashes the installer.
I have the same problem. Currently my computer is floodded with kio-
files processes.
Currenlty : 117 kio-files running processes :-D
