I have tried the patch attached and found that the automount does not
crash anymore with the error.
However I could not find the automount actually mounting anything.

I am using KDE 4.4 Beta 2 in Kubuntu 9.10 and the problem is still
there. Every time I login (reboot) I have to go and select a different
cursor theme, hit Apply and change to back to classic and hit Apply
again.

I get a transfer rate of about 8-10 MBPS. On 9.04, I used to get 25-30
MBPS. I have the following configuration:
Karmic Kaola 64 bit. USB hardware is 2.0 on both the motherboard as well
as external HDD. I am using 2.6.31-16 generic kernal. Haven't tested it
with the previous versions,

manually set DNS servers for a particular network do not take effect.

I am still having the same problem with Jaunty (9.04). This is only a
problem on the laptop speakers. If I attach headphones the sound is
perfect. The sound is perfect from the laptop speakers in Windows.

QTCurve. They are GTK themes that look very much like the QT themes.

I just downloaded and extracted the oxygnome directory in
/usr/share/themes and in System Settings -> Appreance -> GTK Styles I
selected that theme.

I think a better workaround than QtCurve is OxyGnome. Install that theme
for Gnome and you will notice that KDE can still use the Oxygen theme
and Gnome apps look very similar.

Are you sure that that patch fixes it? That is a patch which is
specifically for the group scheduling extensions to CFS which has been
in only since 2.6.24 timeframe. 2.6.22 did not even have the CFS. I
believe the problem has been caused by something else.
