I don't have the original hardware (with Ati based gfx card) I first
reported the bug on, but I don't have this problem with another rig that
uses an Nvidia Ti4600 gfx card. I do have screen tear until I go into
nvidia-settings, enable all vblank options and then enable vsync in the
actual Compiz-c
The whole point of a preview tab is to show whats minimized. It makes no
sense for this not too be corrected. Not that Vista should be an example of
how ubuntu should do things, but it preview tab shows the preview whether
the app is minimized or not.

I am now able to get Windows to see my Ubuntu Samba share, but the
problem lies within the way you have to configure Ubuntu Samba sharing.
To enable Samba, all one has to do is right-click on a folder, select

running at the proper resolution and refresh so I guess this has been

I can confirm this behavior on my feisty rig as well. The shutdown
dialog transitions very smooth but the admin prompts are a flickery
mess. Using proprietary drivers yields no improvement.

I already changed the horiz/vertical rates and added the 1280x1024 res
option to xoerg.conf so can I just change those parameters back to what
ubuntu originally configured them and send the files or do I have to re-

You will notice that the right sides of the icons will be cut off. You
can fix it by zooming them out. Icons only glitch when enlarged. Please
