Even after updating to latest udev (147~-6.1), I still have this
problem. The "start/stop udev" workaround does work, but how do I get
this fixed to avoid the workaround?

I am also having this problem on with a Broadcom bcm4328. I have
updated to the latest network-manager 0.6.6-0ubuntu5, and hal
0.5.11~rc2-1ubuntu8.2, with no changes. It will connect to my wireless
network if it is open, but if I try to connect with WPA or WPA2 it just
