It seems like Ubuntu and Glade seem to have some sort of problem. This
is especially true in the C and C++ environments. It turns out that
user posted wxWidgets as the best solution to it. Then his post was

Try using wxWidgets instead of Glade. Glade dropped C in favor of XML
in its new versions. The wxWidgets is a cleaner solution then Glade.
The new version of Glade is more a tool for interpreted languages like
Python, and not a good C or C++ Solution at all. Well- Unless you want
