Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: kvpnc
I cannot start kvpnc. Here it is the output in the terminal:
janus@katu ~ $ su-to-root -X -c /usr/bin/kvpnc
sock_file=/root/.kde/socket-katu/kdeinit4__0
kvpnc(6266): Session bus not found
KCrash: Application 'kvpnc' crashing...
KCrash: Attempting
I have the same problem: I have two printers configured (one HP and one
Epson), and time to time I have to stop cups (with sudo stop cups)
because it is consuming 100% of one of the cores. If I restart it again
immediately, it works fine maybe for one day or so, and then again the
same behaviour.
Same bug in Dell Inspiron 1545, with Maverick 32bits updated today.

I'm suffering this annoying bug too. Ubuntu 9.10/10.04 amd64
I agree it's not a minor bug. Actually it disables Ubuntu/gedit as a
reliable remote programming platform. This is too bad.

I confirm that I still have the issue with this package version.

It happens only in guake, I tryied xterm and gnome-terminal and both
sets the TERM variable to xterm, so "clear" works.

Done. WIth this kernel it works much better. The only strange behaviour
is that sometimes after I sleep (to ram) the laptop, when it wakes-up I
have to switch down the wireless card and then switch up again (not
always, just time to time), because in other way I do not see some of

I just installed the kernel 2.6.33.5-02063305. I will let you know how
