bug 1 is a platform monopoly problem. In the case of Ebay, Uber, Airbnb,
Windows, most people are on each of these platforms, because, well,
everyone else is on that platform. Not because the platform is better.

simply says (In Progress) and hours go by, with no resolution. By
opening all processes in the system monitor, there is an uninterruptible
dpkg process:

Bugs,
its not really a bug as much as an annoying feature. To reproduce,
choose to format or label the drive more than once. Of course, there may
BE some reason one would want to format a drive twice, but it's not
occurring to me.

if you are not paying attention, you can encue conflicting actions.
Applying them will reformat the partition more than once, either with
two different filetypes if you happened to change your mind and did not
go back, or even with the same filety
it will also do this with partition types, which is annoyingly
timeconsuming. Why would anyone want to format a partition then
immediately reformat it?

I didn't have luck with the other workaround, nor with reinstalling
tracker on either of the machines I upgraded... however, the following
did indeed seem to do the trick on both:
sudo apt-get install tracker tracker-utils --reinstall
tracker-processes -r
if this works (even if it only coincident
oh, and I think i may have also rebooted. the best part was that i
didn't have to reindex.

I was able to solve this problem by installing tracker-utils. it is a
suggested package.
perhaps this could be easily solved by relabeling it as a dependency.
