When the length of the command line approaches 256 characters, then
smemstat fails to transition the output line to the next line. The next
output then continues on the same line. In theory, if all command lines
are very long, then all output could be on one very long line.

The display could not be turned on after closing and reopening the lid
(gnome-power-manager turns off the display). This happens even if i'm
not logged in (gdm). After changing with Ctrl+Alt+F6 to the shell the
display returns. Changing back to X wor

In the logs stands something about the NetworkManager. Is the NetworkManager
obligatory? I'm using wicd.
'ubuntuone-client-applet --signup' doesn't work neither.

Sorry for a very late answer.
I got very annoyed by purchase a Lenove (former IBM), and it was a
stationary computer as well, so I gave it away long time ago so that may be
a difficult task.

PClinux current and minime and Mandriva current and 2008.1 beta a lot.
Ubuntu some (more before I reduce resolution).

It is a long time since I had this "problem". "This has been fixed in later
a later version of Ubuntu so you can delete this bug from launchpad.
